This is one of the best places in the Milwaukee area for summer swimming. Its water is warmer than Lake Michigan, so it’s not too cold to swim here from Memorial Day to Labor Day. There are excellent lifeguards here, watching over everyone from small children to seniors. And if you’re feeling nautical, there are paddleboats and kayaks for all.
Best of all, there’s a spectacular 3/4-mile trail encircling the large lake, offering a variety of views in all directions. This is a perfect place for a summer picnic, especially in the evening when you can watch the sun setting over the lake. It’s the perfect time to go to this park before it closes at 9 PM.
I am giving this place 5 STARS BECAUSE THEY ALLOW dogs.

Why is the dogs allowed to go into water and my kids not? Is the park just dog friendly? We just wanted to have fun with my kids. Why was not told me at the entrance?
I am reading the reviews of people being upset because their kids are not allowed in the water and this is exactly how I feel when my TILA is not allowed in places like the mall , grocery store, airport, restaurants etc... I am trying to be funny here.
Nice place for a picnic. Good shelter, holds enough people in case of rain. We had a lovely spot with a lake view.
Love getting together for our family reunions here! The lifeguards are patient and friendly with the kids but very good at there jobs. The facilities are clean as well as the grounds.
